Accuracy & Verification
We fact‑check our stories before publication. Claims are sourced to primary documents, named experts, official statements, or reputable outlets. Data is linked so readers can verify.
Attribution & Aggregation
We credit original reporting and use quotes with clear attribution. When we aggregate, we add value—context, analysis, or new reporting—and link prominently to the source.
Use of Anonymous Sources
We avoid anonymity unless necessary for safety or to protect whistleblowers. Editors must know the source’s identity and approve anonymity in advance.
Right of Reply
When a story includes significant allegations or criticism, we seek comment with a reasonable deadline and include the response or note if none was provided.
Conflicts of Interest
Staff disclose potential conflicts. Reporters do not cover companies/individuals in which they or immediate family have a financial or close personal interest.
Images, Audio & Video
We use media that we own, license, or that is clearly permitted. Captions and credits identify the source and context. Manipulation that changes meaning is not allowed. Synthetic or AI‑generated media is labeled and vetted.
AI & Automation
We may use AI‑assisted tools for research, transcription, translation, or drafts. Final stories are reported, checked, and edited by humans.
Diversity & Inclusion
Our coverage seeks perspectives across geographies, genders, and communities. We avoid harmful stereotypes and dehumanizing language.
Updates & Corrections
Substantive updates are labeled Update; factual fixes are labeled Correction with a timestamp. Significant clarifications may carry an Editor’s Note.
